Divorce Coaching is a dispute resolution process. Board Certified Divorce Coaches are trained to a professional standard. The professional standard for this dispute resolution process known as Divorce Coaching, is set by the Certified Divorce Coach Board of Standards. The certification marks for this personal divorce coaching profession are registered with the United States government, the government of the United Kingdom, with other governments coming on board.

The practice of divorce coaching as a professional dispute resolution process is yet to be insurance reimbursed. Divorce Coaching is a cash-based practice. Divorce Coaching can be a viable supplemental professional offering at much higher rates per hourly session. While some people may chuckle at the mention of a life coach, other professionals and clients are taking Divorce Coaching seriously. A large percentage of CDC Board of Standards board certified divorce coaches are Family Lawyers, Psychologists and Therapists, Family Mediators, Parenting Coordinators, and a few people in other professions, such as Registered Nurses and Medical Doctors, and other helping professions.
