As the holiday season approaches, many of us take time to reflect on what truly matters — the people who have supported us, the moments that changed us, and the purpose that guides the work we do. In the world of divorce coaching, gratitude takes on a powerful meaning.
Each day, CDC Certified Divorce Coaches® support individuals during one of life’s most overwhelming and emotionally complex experiences. Divorce is deeply personal and often deeply painful — and yet, within that vulnerability lies an opportunity for strength, healing, and growth.
This work matters because it helps people see who they can become on the other side of uncertainty. And in this season of giving thanks, we also pause to honor the compassion, dedication, and courage that divorce coaches bring to the families they support.
Coaches don’t simply guide people through decisions, they help restore confidence, clarity, dignity, and hope. They become the steady voice in the moment when someone feels most alone. And for that, we are profoundly grateful.
A Word From the Founders
For the past 14 years, we have had the honor of working with individuals committed to helping others create kinder and gentler divorces, especially when there are children, inspiring more functional families, and more amicable relationships. We are grateful for the many professionals who have joined us as instructors in sharing their wisdom and vision with the dedicated students who show up every week, eager to have the tools and skills to help clients find better ways to handle the many unexpected twists and turns that divorce can take.
The world needs more inspired people ready to serve others in fulfilling our simple mission to: “Be The Divorce Difference®” in different cultures and languages around the world.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Pegotty and Randy Cooper, CDC Certified Divorce Coach® Co-Founders
Carrying Gratitude Into the Work Ahead
As we look toward the upcoming year, we are reminded that the need for compassionate, skilled divorce coaches continues to grow. Every family navigating divorce deserves support that helps them make thoughtful decisions, communicate effectively, and move forward with resilience.
This season reminds us that gratitude and service go hand in hand — and there is no greater gift than helping someone transform a moment of crisis into a new beginning.
For those considering joining this important work, the January CDC Certified Divorce Coach® Training Program is an opportunity to step into a career that brings clarity and hope to others. It is also a chance to become part of a community that believes deeply in collaboration, kindness, and the power of positive change.
As we give thanks for the past year, we also celebrate the many new coaches who will soon join our mission to “Be The Divorce Difference®” in their communities and across the world.
Wishing you a warm, peaceful, and meaningful Thanksgiving season.
